Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted November 3, 2012 Members Posted November 3, 2012 Folks have probably seen this duo, but it's well worth watching again! Jonathan is 17 yrs old and Charlotte is 16. Their first CD debuted in North America this past week, and I was fortunate enough to get one. The cool thing about this pair, is that NOBODY expected them to do anything worthwhile - until they began to sing...... Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
LifeHiscost Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I hadn't seen it before and I noticed Susan Boyle was on the followup at the end of the piece. I was especially impressed at the young man's steadfast loyalty in the face of Simon Cowell's acknowledgement that, as a business reality, Jonathan could do better without the young lady. It revealed a larger heart than the voice that everyone was hearing. God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted November 4, 2012 Author Members Posted November 4, 2012 Actually, LHC, Charlotte and Jonathan were given a GBP 1 Mill contract by Simon following the finals, in which they came out 2nd. Their final BGT performance was the full rendition of their original audition. Charlotte is GREAT in this, as Simon admits.. Thanks for that Rudy, and it was good to hear Simon Cowell do a little backtracking as well as the comment that I believe will probably be the continuing success story of Jonathan and Charlotte, that being their loyalty to each other. A real refreshing view of people who see in each other what makes them most outstanding in a society that often is so shallow. God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Liz Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I can't believe they were beaten by a dog. I'm glad they got a contract though.
