bonnie Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 So Barak stays in the White House. What happened to California Proposition 37: labeling for Genetically Modified Food? I doubt seriously if that was an important issue in this election. Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. OzarkWoman Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Looks like the people kept a Republican House so we will continue with deadlocked Congress, at least I hope. Quote
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted November 7, 2012 Administrators Posted November 7, 2012 A deadlocked Congress is not necessarily a good thing... Oh, it might prevent really stupid legislation from being passed. But it also prevents much needed governmental reforms and solutions to the problems. The solution is not to keep it deadlocked. It is for them to get up off their partisan parts and reach across the aisle and work together, even if it means reaching a compromise of everyone's agenda. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)

What we can expect to get is compromise the way Obama defines compromise. As in ramming thru the health care bill,we would have to pass it and then read it,DOMA,that pesky law,Ignore and pretend it isn't there,or his magic wand over immigration, something he plainly state "he could not do" until of course he evolved. That is compromise Obama style Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. olger Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 True Bonnie, especially ramming through health care with NO republican support whatsoever. That is the height of arrogance. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
bonnie Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 True Bonnie, especially ramming through health care with NO republican support whatsoever. That is the height of arrogance. Arrogance is how Obama spells compromise Health care takes care of so many area's for Obama. What I find so interesting is no matter what is taking place in cutbacks, harming the poor sheep that Obama swore he wanted to protect, very rarely will you hear anyone say Yeah, look at those cutbacks, isn't that the best medical care ever. The babies that can no longer be delivered at our very competent and well staffed hospital.Nurses were laid off both in hospital and obstetric clinics.Didn't hear anyone say Obama thank you. Several Dr's that are in my immediate area formed a group that takes two months every year and goes to third world countries They purchased a plane and outfitted it so that it is basically a flying hospital, stocking all medical supplies they would need, all at their own personal expense. From time to time they have brought patients here, found a host family for family members and operated when it had to be done in a hospital. Some of these Dr's are the same that are considering downsizing and going cash only. I suspect that those that so desperately needed this help will also suffer as a result of Obama's fairness and concern Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Neil D Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 With attitudes like what you expressed in here, no wonder congress is deadlocked..... griping about your opponent's "arrogance" and whining about ramming things thru, ....Perhaps it's because your republicans will not compromise, LIKE YOU WON'T open your mind to other things.... I guarantee, ANY republican, willing to work across the isle this term, WILL get reelected during his re-election process.... Neil D Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Remember this..... "Republicans can come along for the ride, but move to the back and shutup" That was/is Obama's compromise No, I don't remember that....I do remember the often repeated Mitch McConnel words... bonnie Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 No, I don't remember that....I do remember the often repeated Mitch McConnel words... The republicans didn't do that....They didn't fulfill thier promise....maybe that's a recurring theme in the republican party....maybe it's time to get rid of the republican party..... Spoken like a true liberal. We tolerate that which we cannot crush THE PRESIDENT: Philadelphia, they can't have the keys back. They don't know how to drive. (Applause.) They don't know how to drive. They can ride with us if they want, but they got to get in the back seat. (Applause.) Because we want to go forward. We don't want the special interests riding shotgun. We want working families, middle-class families, up front. They're our priority. OzarkWoman Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 "Republicans can come along for the ride, but move to the back and shutup" That was/is Obama's compromise I remember when he said that. He also said, more than once, "I won and there are consequences for elections." Quote
