Moderators lazarus Posted November 8, 2012 Moderators Posted November 8, 2012 I would assume GOPers would do some soul searching after the crushing defeat but no they are blaming the country. The country is "lost", "its the entitlement" etc. etc. How about doing some reflection, taking personal responsibility, ask some hard questions of yourselves. I'm my mind the country didn't believe Mitt Romney or the Republican party when they said they could cut the deficit, create jobs, make them safer. There is a credibility gap. Last week this was the greatest nation but now its a broken nation because 3 million didn't vote for Romney. Get real. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The country is "lost", "its the entitlement" etc. etc. How about doing some reflection, taking personal responsibility, ask some hard questions of yourselves.[/quote} Most of us that have not depended on government have always asked hard questions and taking personal responsibility. No,It hasn't been the greatest nation for a long time and it is getting worse at a rapid rate. This election will go a long way in further breaking this nation. The election was more about free birth control, food stamps, and "free medical care, rather than Romney couldn't cut the deficit. No,Romney could not create jobs, presidents can't.The can and do create a atmosphere where businesses are penalized for creating jobs. That is what has happened. You may wish to do deny the many business owners pulling in their horns, laying off, cutting employee numbers etc but that doesn't make it any less real. We can't cut the deficit by attacking and punishing the rich. The senseless spending and free give aways has to come first, but it won't.We will continue to pile on one tax after another trying to grab revenue while we increase our spending.A few years ago we were spending 1.56 for every dollar of increased revenue.I hate to think what it is know. Perhaps you have found a way to balance your checkbook using that method but the rest of us haven't Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman

Last week this was the greatest nation but now its a broken nation because 3 million didn't vote for Romney. Get real. Blah...blah. This hasn't been the greatest nation for a very long time, but Obama did not make it happen, just helped the downward spiral quite a bit. The Romney campaign could have been much better but, Obama ran a totally negative campaign because he couldn't run ohn his dismal record. This nation has been a broken nation for a long time also, started more than anything by LBJ and the taking of God out of schools and every other place they can get away with it. How about you taking some reflection and wonder why it is that so many didn't like Obama or believe him. Quote

Why would I do that? He won! I think the Dems should begin to think how they can embrace more White working class people, entrepreneurs etc. I would NOT spend much time thinking about those he thinks he's a Muslim or born in Kenya. They are delusional and some probably racist.. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. I don't believe Obama is an American citizen, and if he is, then he is a naturalized one and not elegible for the office of the President. He also would be willing to show a true and legal birth certificate. Anyone that believes that the one he showed the public is a real one shows they have mush for brains. It took me all of about 2 seconds to see the lies on that one, like the race of his supposed father. Bak in 1961 it would never have been listed as African. It would have been listed as Negroid, which would have been correct, since African is a nationality and not a darn race. Quote

People don't believe the republican party's talk about values and small government. They have the same values as everyone else and will grow government if given half a chance. I really wonder who your master is? You spend almost as much time saying this type of derogatory statements as I do in listening to my right wing masters. Like that civil and thoughtful approach BTW. The two I actually spend much time listening to is local.True one is conservative and one libertarian/conservative. If you were to tune in at times you would think the criticism was coming from those in the far left. They are very hard and sometimes very harsh on conservative politicians and I think that is great.Other than that I spend a good amount of time reading.True I don't get much from salon.com or media matters/I will leave those masters to you BTW as Obama has spent a great deal of time on the lpight of poor defenseless women that want to make sure free birth control is available, tell me why. That certainly is not a value of most conservatives.Neither is Obamacare, must have been an important issue to him that it required ramming and cramming down everyone's throat Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. The talk show "masters" get take their orders from Matt Drudge. Drudge is the man behind the curtain. I think Bill O'Reilly is the only conservative out there doing his own show prep. All the others seem to just be discussing the news items put out on The Drudge Report. That is not to say the The Drudge Report is bad. It is mostly just links to various other news sources. Staements like this are demeaning and intentionally so.....your right wing talk show masters will tell you that so they can continue to have you listen to their crazy talk. It is beyond thinking of those that make statements like that long before "our right wing masters" we held the same views we do today. There were no right wing masters while I was growing up and certainly had nothing to do with shaping my beliefs. I still view welfare in the same light as I did prior to their existence.I did then and still do feel we should help the poor, that the gay lifestyle was an abomination, not just another choice God gave us,still am opposed to abortion on demand, was and am opposed to divorce just because I can,and a host of other beliefs. Now beliefs of that sort have been clearly stated as being opposed to Christ the liberal.I don't believe that is so. It always seems strange to me that those that insist on demeaning others about their "right wing masters" spend far more time listening to them than I do. Often I find out what has been said by liberal's here. Then when I check it has a little bit of a different slant. I have seen a lot of salon.com ,Huffington Post,Media Matters so can I assume that you are not intelligent enough to form your own opinions and these are the masters of the libs? Tell me something if you wouldn't mind? Some of the reading I have been doing lately involves EW and her writings on helping the poor along with the bible on certain issues? EW wrote many years ago on helping the poor. Not much different than what many conservatives believe to be right. Who was the "right wing master" that influenced her with all that crazy talk? Dr. Shane Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 You have some proof I assume that the "talk show masters' take their orders from Drudge? I don't know what kind of proof a person needs. I read Drudge almost every day. (I also read the Huffington Post) Nearly every time I tune into any of the conservative talk radio shows they are talking about something that Drudge posted a link about. Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck even make reference to Drudge on a regular basis. However when I tune into O'Reilly his content rarely reflects anything I read on Drudge except in the cases when a story is dominating the news and everyone is talking about it. Because they refer to Drudge a lot, something I didn't know, does that mean they take marching orders from him? Or does it mean they like you read it and something on there with what they are referring to or a article they find interesting? Generally the articles are not by written by Drudge are they?
