Moderators lazarus Posted November 12, 2012 Moderators Posted November 12, 2012 We have learned that President Barack Obama‘s campaign had an amazingly advanced and disciplined ground game that knew just what precincts and even voters to target and how to target them, based on polling information that predicted how the vote was going with uncanny precision. Yet Mitt Romney was the man running as the experienced manager, the man whose years running a business uniquely qualified him to run the biggest, most complex organization on earth, the federal government. That was his main, most consistent claim to the office. Now it looks more as if, though he may have been very good at buying and selling companies and extracting profit from them, he wasn’t nearly as good at heading an effective complex organization as President Obama. Obama executed quantifiable long-term plans, adaptable short-term planning, an innovative GOTV initiative and plotted better ad strategies, while Romney had the ORCA trainwreck [see below], inaccurate internal polling, poorly informed managers and insufficient fiscal planning (e.g. coffers too low in July to react to the Obama ad blitz seems so minor league!). Not to mention its upper management was rewarded with bonuses in September, right after the languid convention and the embarrassing European trip. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein

It is true that Romney did not pimp to gain the give me crowd. Now let's see the other side. The layoffs, the looming layoffs. The growing food stamp program, the ever increasing suddenly discovering they are disabled and going on SSD.The effects of Obamacare. The promise illegally to pay for lawsuits if certain companies didn't announce layoffs. Now the wonder president has to figure out how to force companies to employ and not cut back.Instead of regurgitating from your left wing masters can you site where the economy is improving, layoffs are a figment of someone else's imagination, where there is less reliance on food stamps and the growth of some mysterious ailment that has spurred SSD recipients Forget Benghazi, that little business of planning and standing by while americans were executed matters little Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. bonnie Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 So Romney did a wonderful job despite the fact that he had a crushing defeat. Not facing reality Ms Bonnie. If you would be so kind as to face honesty would you please point to that statement by me? Man to man however Romney was light years ahead of Obama. You used the description of Romney slithering away. Keep in mind those that slither on the ground can also slither up a tree. Romney stood like a man and did not slither on the ground with Obama. You know, how you raise your children and the values you try to instill is up to you. For mine, they would not be allowed in a position to be influenced by a man that has endorsed the type of people he has. I would want them influenced by a man that understood what the phrase,Your "brother's keeper" actually meant. That understood that taxes are not tithe and christian giving. That comes from the heart.Personally I would be disappointed in my sons if they allowed a beloved family member to live in subsidized housing and have taxpayer paid surgery.Especially while telling others to be their brothers keepers as they sit in a very pricey home I can't imagine a Romney presidency placing a man into his administration that says to God,Screw you buddy. I know to many it is a small thing but Obama told me who he was when he voted to deny the most defenseless,a aborted baby that did not die just basic humane comfort care. That is the man,not the skin color Besides policy there are many differences between the two men. And yes,Romney was heads and shoulders above. Before I ever get to the point of voting someone I look to see who he was before he stood up and made pretty speeches to win an election Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. There is a big difference between winning a campaign and being a good man. Winning the obvious is not always the ultimate win. They were not skittish about his abilities but the ability to be elected. No,what was proven is men like Obama and their thug like friends/acquaintances and behavior may win in the short run. I know it is a subject many avoid and really don't care about, but my first time really paying attention to Obama was when the "comfort care" issue came up.I went back and did some research, his statements and his vote.He could have been a conservative white man and I would never have voted for him.As a black liberal democrat I would never have voted for him,but I would not have the complete disrespect for the man he is that I have. That isn't even a human response. When he wanted to stir a little racism he let everyone know that Martin could have been his son.To bad he didn't look at a tiny, helpless, totally innocent baby in a little of the same way. That for me goes right to the core of who he is.From there none of his pretty speeches mean anything. When he places a man in his admin that says to "God,Screw you buddy" that goes right along in the character that lets a baby lay on a table till it finally quits breathing. You have to first be a good man to really care.Caring to get votes doesn't cut it in the end Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 President Obama knows how to run a political campaign. He practices the politics of divide and conquer. His victory over Hilary Clinton was more impressive than his more recent victory over Mitt Romney. However Obama doesn't know how to govern. He failed to get his single-payer healthcare reform through Congress even when his party had a super majority in both houses of Congress. His Democrats in Congress had more imput on his stimulus bill than he did which was a complete failure. Mitt Romeny lost because he isolated the Latino community. He got fewer Latino votes than any other Presidential candidate in recent history and perhaps ever. The lesson learned here is not to marginalize the Latino community. Dr. Shane Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 So Romney did a wonderful job despite the fact that he had a crushing defeat. One would have to redefine the word "crushing" in order to use it as it is being used here. Landslide elections are typically considered those where the winning candidate wins by a double digit margin like Nixon in 1972 and Reagan in 1984. Nixon crushed McGovern. Reagan crushed Mondale. Obama beat Romney by 3%. He beat McCain by 4%. He would have had to more than triple his margin for it to be considered a landslide. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Romney would have made a bad president,he actually laid people off,we know he wanted to throw granny over the cliff,he was rich and we didn't like that.he was responsible for the death of a man's wife,he wouldn't do anything for blacks and latinos Now what is it the Obama did and is going to do for us.The reason we voted him back into office. Not why we voted against Romney, but the reason we wanted him another four years. Is it because of the continuing layoffs, the high unemployment among blacks, the great success he has had with the foot stamp program,The fastest growing numbers on SSD,companies laying off or cutting back hours due to Obamacare, the rising insurance cost for families, free cell phones.HIs honesty regarding Benghazi, the great way he protected american citizens, the resounding success of Fast and Furious What is it that we wanted Obama back in office for Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Somebody who does not know how to govern does not get reelected. He knows how to get elected. I don't think anyone disputes that. But that doesn't mean he knows how to govern. He doesn't. He can't get people that agree with him to agree with him. Think about that. When he had super majorities in both houses of Congress, he couldn't get people in his own party to agree with him. Now he complains about Republicans. Someone needs to tell him the king has no clothes. The problem wasn't those Democrats he couldn't convince nor is it the Republicans now. The problem looks at him each time he looks in the mirror. Dr. Shane Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 The country believed that he would be a better president that Romney. Exit polls showed the majority of voters believed the economy was in good shape on election day. Latino voters put Obama over the top. It is a simple as that. Romney took an extreme position on immigration and it cost him the election. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators lazarus Posted November 15, 2012 Author Moderators Posted November 15, 2012 But that doesn't mean he knows how to govern. He doesn't. bonnie Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 They expected to win the presidency and even the senate. Of course they are crushed. Let's agree that republicans are to blame for everything, all bad things of government are because there are republicans. Now,can you please point out exactly why you support Obama. His policies that are working and showing such great success? How well small businesses are doing and how many they are hiring. The great benefit we are seeing even before Obamacare is fully implemented? Is it the smashing success of the food stamp program? Is it because the democratic senate hasn't even bothered with a budget? Is it the long awaited r getting rid of racism? What is it that Obama did in his past four years and will do in the next four that will benefit the US? Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 They expected to win the presidency and even the senate. Of course they are crushed. Perhaps Dick Morris expected that but everyone knew it was going to be close... and it was. The GOP hoped for the Senate early on but always knew that was going to be tough. Then after the comments of a couple goofy candidates about rape and abortion,,, most Republicans knew their chances were gone. The Republicans didn't get crushed and Obama's narrow victory leaves him without any political capital. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Wonderful!!! Millions will now have insurance and millions will now not have what they had because of it. Quote
