Moderators lazarus Posted November 14, 2012 Moderators Posted November 14, 2012 Fifty-three percent of Americans said Republicans in Congress would be more to blame in that instance, according to a Pew Research Center poll conducted in the days following the election. Twenty-nine percent said that Obama would be more to blame, while 10 percent said both the president and Republicans would share blame. http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_news/201...lder-blame?lite Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. Dr. Shane Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 The President is suppose to lead but this President never has. When he had a super majority in Congress he let Pelosi and Reid do the leading. He has never been able to reach across the aisle and accomplish anything. He couldn't even get authorization to use force in Libya so he had to be the first President to violate the War Powers Act. Are Republicans being hard to work with? Of course. That is called pay-back. Obama gave all the Republicans his middle finger when first elected and lectured them about the consequences of elections. So when they won control of the House they figured turnabout is fair play. So now they lecture him about the consequences of elections. If Obama was a leader, he could work with the opposite party. He is no Bill Clinton. He is no Ronald Reagan. He isn't even a George W. Bush. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

When people don't tell the truth and people are eager to hear what Obama had to spew that isn't strange at all Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. bonnie Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Besides winning, what has Obama done that so many people thought warranted another term? Not what Romney might have done if elected, not what the republican congress did or didn't do,not what Bush did,What did Obama do to warrant re-election.Provable, positive results Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 The Republicans gave this election to Obama by their extreme, radical position on immigration. Latinos held their noses when they voted for Obama. What was their choice? Bad or worse. Obama's first term was filled with broken promises and failures. His toughest interview came from Spanish-speaking network Univision. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

This time Obama has a proven record that would have defeated most. What was the worse they were afraid of?More food stamps, more unemployment? That is what they had and have. Why did the blacks vote over 90%.They knew a man that they thought would do so much for them had already proven to be an empty suit. I much worse can it get for them? It would be interesting if a Obama supporter would explain the positives of a Obama administration and why they voted for him or supported him.Not condemning Romney, but a simple this is what he has done that has helped the country Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. bonnie Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 When we lose it's easier to discredit the winner than face the reasons why we lost. It takes maturity to ask oneself hard questions. That is a not so artful duck.I know why I voted for Romney,Romney lost, end of story. Why do you support Obama. It should be for what he has accomplished. It is irrelevant what I think Romney would have accomplished. He is not president. The last four years have been spent blaming Bush, are we going to spend the next four years blaming Romney because he lost? Sounds like it.Just tell me what positives I have to look forward to under the tender mercies of an Obama administration. With your enthusiastic support of Obama that should be a very easy request Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Not wanting amnesty for lawbreakers is radical??? hmmmmm That is very inflammatory language. Understand that illegally crossing the border is a misdemeanor. That is like a speeding ticket. Understand that very few people are entertaining the idea of amnesty. That is radical, right-wing scare tactics. First and foremost, they would have to pay a fine just like anyone else that is guilty of committing a misdemeanor. Then, they go to the back of the line when getting their US residency and eventual citizenship. That means everyone that comes here legally is given priority. Third, they would have to show they have no criminal record here or back home. Fourth, they would have to show they have been here five years and been paying taxes on the income earned. If they cannot, they would have to pay the back taxes for the estimated income they earned. That means, if they were working for cash "under the table" they would still have to pay taxes on it. That is a far cry from amnesty so don't believe every thing Hannity, Limbaugh or Beck put out there. The Republican Party reflects the Latino community on social issues. There is no doubt about that. Many Latinos are small business owners and fit in much better with the Republican Party than the Democratic Party. Many also hold contempt for the corrupt Mexican government and would find the Republican message of small government very attractive. Republicans need to sell their message to the Latino community. If Republicans can get 45% of the Latino vote, it will be very hard for Democrats to win in national elections. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
