cricket Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Twinkies were the one snack my husband's grandparents always had in their freezer. Ice cold Twinkies were great when shared with his Grandma and Grandpa. In that sense, there is no other snack that could compare--ever--in the eyes of some people. Oddly enough, the snack food my grandparents always had in their freezer were frozen marshmallows! Something about the novelty of a frozen treat must have run in that generation. We'll miss the Hostess brand in our city. The factory in town was open to school field trips in the 70's and 80's. Learning how they were made is a fun, childhood memory that both my husband and I share--even though we didn't even know each other at the time! Quote

Not saying Unions are all good, but they have there good points too. My father worked for the union his whole life and was treated very well. My view of unions is jaded by their strike history in areas where I have lived - and also due to the fact that Ellen White predicted that they play a key role in bringing down the United States at the end of time. I do remember at the printing company where I worked, we had a small group that discussed bringing in the union, thankfully most were not interested ingoing this way, even though the company we worked for wasn't any better than what I've heard about unions. According to what I was reading (it's on the Internet, must be true... LOL) the union forced the company to transport the goods in separate trucks, in order to force more jobs.
