Gordon1 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 This CBC report details the very disturbing installation of thousands of counterfeit chips into American and Canadian military hardware, including jet cockpit displays and missile guidance systems. In total "over one million bogus parts." The chips come from recycled computers (e-junk). One witness told a congressional committee that "mountains of imported scrap circuit boards" are piled high in the streets of Shantou. "He said Chinese workers sit around open fires, melting the circuit boards to salvage components which are then washed off in dirty river water and left to dry on city sidewalks. All markings are then sanded off, and replaced with new codes, often indicating they are of a higher quality and capability than the originals." The counterfeits are very hard to detect. "They look absolutely brand new" said the head of a sophisticated testing lab in Ottawa. Only under a special acoustical microscope "we find they are all cracked and damaged inside." http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/06/11/pol-weston-china-military-components.html Quote
Gordon1 Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 If a public broadcaster hadn't run this story, it would be dismissed as a conspiracy theory. Quote
born_again1 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Gordon1, That is a very interesting story. Thanks for posting it. Perilous times on every front! Quote
Gordon1 Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 Well Canada's about to be sold to the Chinese oil giants. The Chinese ambassador to Canada yesterday told a senior correspondent to "shut up" on air when questioned about rumours of Chinese espionage here. His tone quite arrogant. Can't blame China really. They have the money, the market, and even the military might. Because our government has sold to the New World Order, we're heading to be a colony of the Asian Tiger. But that's a topic for a different forum. Quote
