Reason enough

I serve the God of Life, as a Seventh Day Adventist, Who took my immature relationship with Him into consideration when my practice of the religion I chose led to mistakes based on that immaturity. My poor choices didn't make God any less of Who He is but to some it leaves God with a bad rap.

Despite that lack, after accepting His gift of repentance, I have been granted 35 years of happiness with my married partner that eclipses the result of mistakes of the past, a miracle given despite being less than perfect.

If life were only to last as long as the proverbial 3 score and ten, I would still serve Him to the best of the capacity He is willing to give me, as I have seen how much joy others receive from me as I practice the principles He has taught.

One way or the other, we will eventually both bow before Him, acknowledging both His justice and His mercy. Which side of the gates we are on when that time comes depends upon which master we have chosen.
