This is how it is done in the world of Obama.

.

This is exactly why Mitt Romney said that 40 some % of the people are too dependent on the government. They have learned to work the system.

A Ford Dealer's Report - From Tom Selkis' (Latham Ford) Facebook - True story yesterday at the dealership.

"I'll try to make this as short and to the point as I can.

One of my salesmen here had a woman in his office yesterday wanting to lease a brand new Focus.

As he was reviewing her credit application with her he noticed she was on social security disability.

He said to her you don't look like you're disabled and unable to work.

She said well I'm really not. I could work if I wanted to, but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt (non-disabling injury).

She said the gov't sends her $1500.00 a month in 1 check. And she gets $700.00 a month on an EBT card (food stamps), and $800.00 a month for rent.

Oh yeah, and 250 minutes free on her phone.

That is just south of $3500.00 a month.

When she was working, she was taking home about $330.00 per week.

Do the math and then ask yourself why the hell should she go back to work.

If you multiply that by millions of people, you start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country.

Once the socialists have 51% of the population in that same scenario, we are finished.

The question is when do we cross that threshold if we haven't already, and there are not enough people working to pay enough taxes to support the non-working people? Riots?? Be prepared to protect your homes.

She didn't lease the Focus here because the dealer down the road beat our deal by $10.00/month.

Glad to know she is so frugal with her hard earned money."

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.

Wonder what state she lives in. I get disability and it is nowhere near $1500 a month. In fact, if I didn't get my widows' stipend from SS I would not afford to live anywhere. I also can not get any food stamps or help with rent. I sure wish I knew how I could get some of that stuff.

Depends a lot on the state you live in.Some are more generous than others.Depending on the number of children she has living at home 700.00 in food stamps is not off the charts.

Here in MN she would qualify for subsidized housing. That can cost the recipient as little as 60.00 a month for a very decent home, with taxpayers picking up the rest.

An acquaintance of mine in MN,tried every trick in the book to get on disability and was turned down numerous times. Finally a lawyer was able to push it thru, she is no more disabled than I am and has rarely worked.Somehow she seems to have more spendable income than my husband and I.

Your widows stipend is probably putting you over the top unfortunately.More and more it seems if you have worked hard all your life you get less than those that have not.

But you do need to check all available options in your state.

There are many that people overlook

More and more seniors will qualify for food stamps or so it seems from the notices being sent out.

Many were just a few dollars over that disqualified them and now with Obamacare savings they will.

My insurance went up 20%,I have not received the notice on my husband's premium yet but assume it will be similar.I believe Prescription D premium is going up as well.

Those that were a 100.00 or so over the limit will now be accepted.

Going thru the senior benefit help line when I received the notice I was told that the " free wellness checks" and carrying able bodied young people to 26 on their parents health plan is major in the rise of premiums.

So seniors get to keep paying for themselves and freebies for the able bodied.

Right there he has the right to call them and tell them what she just told him!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The problem as I see it, he either is lying about what she said, or making this up. I know a number of people that are on SSD and they are required every two years to show that they are still not able to work. But again if this is the case than report them, period. Just like when those with children are miss treated them, someone needs to report them to the state, if they don't than they are just as much a part of the problem. And please don't tell me it can't be done, because I know that it can!

My wife who is on disability has had to get checked every single year, to prove that she is still disabiled.

Then she is one of the rare ones. When my husband went on disability the process was a joke.It is true that there was a medical record on him but a child could have lied his way thru the SSD Dr and his exam. You have to have a medical record of some kind with the application

It wasn't even hinted that he be checked every year.Nor are his disabilities obvious at a glance. Our next door neighbors are not required to do so either and both are on disability.

A bad back is a common reason for disability. There are many that have excruciating back pain and should qualify. But it is something not always easily pinpointed and easily abused.
