It calls for very close ties between church and state in Europe. The biggest and most important piece of evidence that the Catholic Church opposes separation of church and state is the fact that it is both a religion and a state. I agree with what Kennedy said about religious freedom in this video, and those views may well have resulted in his assassination. It is one of the four most likely motivations for his killing. (The other ones are the mafia, a Cuban connection, and Lee Harvey Oswald acting alone.) The Vatican has let it be known many times that it believes Catholics ought to vote according to the policies of the Church.
