Update on my son....

I mentioned a while back that my son was attacked and he used his father's training and broke the guys ribs, but the attacker ran off. Well, tonight, my son ran into that guy again, this time he took him down and kept him down until the police arrived. One bad guy off the streets for a little while.

I'm thinking the police force might be a good fit for my son.

On another note, you'd think that that bad guy would leave my son alone, it has never worked out real well for him.

While I am grateful that you are not grieving over your son, and that your son can take care of himself, what is prompting this guy to come after your son? How old is your son?

This guy is just a panhandler, he obviously has a territory that he works, just going from business to business asking for handouts from the patrons. My son is 17 and has a job in this area. The time before this, the man approached my son and asked for money, my son had none to give him and the man got aggressive, my son broke his ribs and the man ran off. This time the man approached my son and again demanded money, and when my son turned around the man recognized him and tried to run away but my son caught him and held him for the police.

Sadly this is just the world we live in today. My husband's style of martial arts is one that is more deadly than others, it actually teaches to take your opponent out to where your opponent will never want to fight you again. This is what he taught our son, and he did it well, obviously as evidenced by the second encounter--the guy tried to leave as opposed to continue the encounter.

I don't believe being a Christian means one has to be a victim.
