BobRyan Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Amazing Discovery web site report Quote: On October 20, 2012, Walter Veith preached the lecture “King of the North (Part 2)” from the new series Repairing the Breach in German [German title Sturm aus dem Norden] in Marienberg SDA Church in Nurnberg, Germany, to an audience of approximately 350 people. The lecture was also live-streamed to approximately 1500 people. Almost immediately after the presentation, Walter Veith received violent opposition by way of an article by EANN about his claims of Freemason/Jesuit involvement in the creation of the State in Israel after WWII and the way he expressed himself in regards to the Jews during Hitler’s regime. Well at least we now know why Walter Veith thought that EANN was raising similar issues as those that appear in the charges against him. But I do not know much about EANN other than the fact that it is not an Adventist denomination publication/organization per se. So it could be just about anything. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." COL 316.

BobRyan Posted December 7, 2012 Author Posted December 7, 2012 The author of that article is as he states of others - "sadly mistaken". In the case of Walter Veith - we have had former atheists walk in to church - having had no contact at all with SDAs until a recent viewing of "Amazing Discoveries" - and sign up for Bible studies based on that alone. Not many of the nay-sayers have that kind of fruit. This yet another reason why I don't think the German SDA organization should allow itself to be so easily manipulated by EANN. Thought-police tactics will come to the world soon enough - no need to embrace them ahead of time. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." Moderators Gerr Posted December 8, 2012 Moderators Posted December 8, 2012 My understanding is that the SDA church in Germany was split during the Nazi regime. One cooperated with the Nazis and the other did not. Do you know,Bob, if the split was ever repaired? And if not, which of the two branches is very anti-Veith? Quote
Moderators John317 Posted December 8, 2012 Moderators Posted December 8, 2012 The split in the German SDA church occurred in WWI. Sadly, the split has never been repaired, although at least one serious attempt was made. The Reformed SDA Movement resulted from the split because the official SDA Church in Germany agreed to cooperate with the German governent during WWI. Some German SDAs were put in prison and even executed because they refused to compromise their convictions. Many who went to prison were later disfelloweshipped for not following the directions of the German SDA leadership. What the SDA Church in Germany did in WW2 didn't help matters. Not all German SDAs capitulated to Hitler but the church leadership did and so did most SDA lay members. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
