bonnie Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 My friend had his hand gun out, walking the rooms...and his lovely wife and children were in the closet...My friend said that there were many times that he could have shot the perps, but he didn't....He had them in his site...but he didn't shoot them.....He said that if they got into the house, he would have shot them...They waited 2 hours for the county sheriff to show up....and arrest them.... What is so vital about that piece of information? After two hours of warnings and doing nothing this mother and her children could just as easily have been dead. Sorry,if I have to warn someone that I am capable of hurting them if they harm my children for two hours,probably wouldn't happen. Maybe she should have said Please,I have a gun and I don't want to shoot you.Possibly he would have left and gone onto the next family that did not have a gun. Liz Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Neil, I'm curious as to what you think the man's intentions were? Say for instance she had just answered the door, the way you wanted her too. She would have said something to the effect that she didn't want anything he was selling, and she wanted him gone. Do you think he would have wished her a good day and left? Or do you think he would have pushed his way into the house and then possibly raped and killed her? According to the story she kept her gun in a safe, so she wouldn't have been able to answer the door with it in her hand. I really am curious as to what you think would have/could have happened had she done it your way and had answered the door.
