Dear individuals,

As Mrs. Gray was perusing the official North Korean website that Administrator Stan linked to about North Korea, she came across what is likely the most important new medication ever developed.

According to the site, this medicine can do the following:

</font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />

The Korea Oriental Instant Medicinal Centre has recently developed Neoviagra-Y.R (NVGR-Y.R), a medicine for restoring youth.

This medicine prevents people from ageing, gives them youth and makes them live long. It attracts attention at home and abroad.

"Y.R is known as an excellent medicine highly efficacious for lumbago, shoulder pains, arthritis, obesity, hepatitis, nephritis and cerebral arteriosclerosis. In particular, it is popular among people as clinicopharmacologically the most advanced medicine for sexual malfunction of male and female and as a stimulator of sexual function; it is specially efficacious for male impotence and female sexual malfunction."

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

The doctor who developed this medication has called it the "key to longevity - success." The phone number for the place that made the medicine is on the official state website at http://www.kcckp.net/en/news/news_view.php?4+11

Whoever has derided their great and benificent leader Kim Jong Il as "Kim Jong Mentally Ill" should be subjected to punishment for this treason.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Gray

Sounds like more snake oil from the North Korean communists.

I have a theory that what is different about the water in the River of Life is that it is composed of Deuterium, where each atom of hydrogen has a neutron as well as a proton in the nucleus. (Normal water has hydrogen atoms that have just a proton by itself in the nucleus.) I further theorize that if we grow plants watered with deuterium, their fruit will provide a special enzyme that will renew our youth.

What benefits (if any) does deuterium, by itself, have? And why are you theorizing the use of deuterium?

?????????????????????????

If it were true, and it were to be picked up by Christians, the enemy of souls would have gained another major victory.

[:"red"] "For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do."[/]Galatians 5:17 AMP

Thanks, Greg. I did write it with tongue-in-cheek. Although I do actually wonder what would be the physiological effects of drinking deuterium. Trace amounts exist in naturally occurring water, but it is fairly difficult and expensive to separate it out enough to get a significant concentration. Let's see, about 90% of the human body is water, so if all that were deuterium, you would weigh more. What effects this would have in the chemistry of metabolism on the cellular scale are hard to guess. Chemically, it is the same as water. But it is heavier, and that could have an effect on the cellular level. As for radioactivity, my understanding is that deuterium is not dangerously radioactive, since it is basically stable. Tritium is radioactive, because it has two neutrons in the nucleus with that single proton in its hydrogen atoms. So you wouldn't want to drink tritium, unless you want your tummy to glow.

Has anyone ever heard of any cases where someone drank deuterium, or watered plants with it?

My speculation about the "water of life" was not original. I read a science fiction story once where these two immortal beings are marooned on earth, and after several millennia they begin to age, slowly. They finally figure it is because "the water is too thin." In other words, not enough deuterium. The idea was one of those nods towards plausibility that aids in the "suspension of disbelief" necessary in science fiction.

Ok, now I understand "heavy water". Thanks

Miss Gray,

I have developed some (but not much) respect for you after having read some of your posts. But I must say I felt for you after reading this awful mischaracterization of you:

Tyson showed the toughness of the Church Lady his entire career. That is why he never was an all-time heavyweight great for even one day of his career. His hand speed and two-handed power couldn't compensate for his lack of character. He never once won or pulled out a tough fight. Hats off to Freddie Roach, who was fired by Tyson for suggesting that he thought Tyson could have gotten up against Williams, instead of sitting there being counted out.

Sorry that people hafta misuse your good name like that...
