Robert Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 2 Samuel 12:13 So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. 14 However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.”...And the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it became ill. VS Ez 18:20 The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. Also keep in mind Romans 2:11 "For God does not show favoritism" So you can't say God loved David more and struck down the innocent child. Something is missing here! I mean this doesn't sound like my loving heavenly father. It's like I sin and God kills my wife. That's terrible. Let's iron this one out. Quote
