It was similar to this but with a metal nib: I do have a blown-glass pen with a glass nib, but this one was nicer. I never told the kids that I broke the nice gift they gave me. Venetian glass ballpoint pen Here is a beautiful hefty high quality bright silver pen, decorated gorgeous blown Venetian glass beads and silver plated pewter accent beads. The glass beads are large, about 3/4" tall by 3/4" wide. They have black, green, and aqua blue swirled stripes on them. The glass beads are interspersed with detailed silver plated pewter spacer beads. The silver plated pewter beads are made in Oregon and do not contain lead or nickel. I had no clue as to how many and how varied they are. Some of them I've never heard of before I like far better than the "classic" gemstones everyone has heard of.
