Jesus did not die for the angels. It is for man, who was created a little lower than the angels, the Bible says, that Christ came to save.

The angels that rebelled got no second chance, but what lengths did God go to for us humans?

However, when we get to heaven, I have a suspicion we will become privy to the evidence of the extraordinary measures and grace extended to those angels prior to their expulsion from heaven.

In the cross, we see the length God was willing to go to for His created beings. In watching this, the evil angels can know God would have done the same for them if even one of them would repent,

That they don't is evidence to me what God appealed to them with an unimaginable level of grace...and they rejected it.

I am sorry but that is not true. Graham Maxwell has pointed out different Mrs. White quotes where she said that Jesus also died for the angels, as well as Biblical texts that hint at it.

The book Sanctuary and the Atonement, I don't have the page number but in the chapters "The Mighty Opposits: the Atonement in the writings of Ellen G. White" parts 1 and 2 also discuss this as well and pointing out that Mrs. White taught that it was at the death of Jesus where the rest of the universe, except for humans, closed their probation.

I have to get up early, but when you look at the whole purpose of the Great Controversy, the Investigative Judgment, and the nature of hell fire and how God destroys the wicked all stem from Jesus dieing for not just humans but for the entire universe. I'm sorry but Gaberel is as dependent on the death of Jesus and as dependent on salvation by grace through the death of Jesus as I am. It redeemed the fallen and solitified the relationship of the unfallen.

The first chapter of Patriarchs and Prophets goes into depth on what happened among the angels prior to their expulsion from Heaven and I would recommend reading that. Here is just a snippet..

Still the loyal angels urged him and his sympathizers to submit to God; and they set before them the inevitable result should they refuse: He who had created them could overthrow their power and signally punish their rebellious daring. No angel could successfully oppose the law of God, which was as sacred as Himself. They warned all to close their ears against Lucifer's deceptive reasoning, and urged him and his followers to seek the presence of God without delay and confess the error of questioning His wisdom and authority.

Many were disposed to heed this counsel, to repent of their disaffection, and seek to be again received into favor with the Father and His Son. But Lucifer had another deception ready. The mighty revolter now declared that the angels who had united with him had gone too far to return; that he was acquainted with the divine law, and knew that God would not forgive. He declared that all who should submit to the authority of Heaven would be stripped of their honor, degraded from their position. For himself, he was determined never again to acknowledge the authority of Christ. The only course remaining for him and his followers, he said, was to assert their liberty, and gain by force the rights which had not been willingly accorded them.

So far as Satan himself was concerned, it was true that he had now gone too far to return. But not so with those who had been blinded by his deceptions. To them the counsel and entreaties of the loyal angels opened a door of hope; and had they heeded the warning, they might have broken away from the snare of Satan. But pride, love for their leader, and the desire for unrestricted freedom were permitted to bear sway, and the pleadings of divine love and mercy were finally rejected.

In a nutshell: The trinity lives in a righteousness by faith relationship with each other, loving their neighbor as themselves. God is the source of life. Any other life depends on it's free will choice to be connected in the righteousness by faith relationship to this sourse. Choosing to disconnect from this sourse would cause life to cease just as unpluging a light from a powersource would make the light go out.

Lucefer was the first to notice that this relationship required the law of self sacrificing love but he pictured God as excututing anyone who would not keep this law by an imposed penelity of death, rather than the results of choosing to disconnect from the source of life. Lucifer's first deception is that God was a crule tyrant willing to execute anyone who does not keep the law of self sacrificing love Has Lucifer immediately received the natural results and was no longer living it would have looked like God Zapped him and other created beings would have served God out of fear. This fear would not have been love and thus sin and would have destroyed them as well. So God keeps sinners alive for an understanding as to what the issues really are.

The death of Jesus was to answer these deceptions of Lucifer. The death of Jesus redeemes any sinner willing to accept it, and the unfallen angels and unfallen worlds made their final decisions to be eternally faithful to God, thus closing their probation.
