bonnie Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 New Homeland Security Video Urges Americans To Resist Shooters…With Scissors You can't make this stuff up. Like you want to get close enough to someone with a gun that wants to shoot you to stab them with a scissors. Great liberal logic. Don't shoot anyone but stab them to death with a scissors Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman

Don't shoot anyone but stab them to death with a scissors I heard this on Hannity while waiting to pick up my wife at lunch time. This is one of those shake-your-head moments when you almost can't believe the stupidity involved in the recommendation. Then you consider the source--someone with an agenda to get rid of the 2nd ammendment wanting to cause even more innocent deaths by gunfire. Yeah, bring a pair of scissors to a gun fight. You're supposed to cut the flying bullets into small fragments with the scissors.... Quote Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.Alexis de Tocqueville
Guest Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Maybe I'm going out on a limb here, but I think Gun trumps Scissors almost every single time. Ok they're telling you that you're going to have to dispatch the person, right? Well, wouldn't you rather do it from across the room, with a bullet to the head, than have to fight a gun fight with scissors? And suppose the shooter gets nervous, for the sake of the argument, and drops his gun on the ground. And you actually get the opportunity to stick them with the scissors. Once isn't going to be enough. You're going to have to keep on stabbing and sticking repeatedly in a life and death struggle. It will be a gruesome scene. And the chances are that after all that, they will get to the gun and kill you anyway. Woulda been better just to have had a gun. :) Quote
Guest Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Great liberal logic. Don't shoot anyone but stab them to death with a scissors As long as you don't shoot them, I think it's ok. It would be unfair if you shot them. Quote

Anyone even considering this to be a smart action needs to have their heads examined. Blessings, Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. If you're carrying a gun you're obviously one of those extremist conservatives, so of course it would be unfair of you to defend yourself with a gun.... Narcah Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I love my guns. That said, it's a good idea to try something. Anything. If it is you or them, try SOMETHING. Don't give up! Most people just don't happen to have guns in their work desks, especially since most work places do not allow guns. If an active shooter is reloading, clearing a jam, or is close enough for you to spring onto their back with a good pair of scissors, it might just work. Quote -Jason Youtube.com/narcah

Ted Oplinger Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I agree, Bonnie. DHS is suggesting to use scissors as the first weapon of resort. That would be, until all guns and long knives are confiscated, and scissors are next on the list of "domestic terrorist weapons" to campaign against...
