Ted Oplinger Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Ever met some people so full of hate they fail to think straight? Yes, I know a few. One cannot even have light chit-chat about the weather without finding something to vent on. Really distressing to the soul. Blessings, Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Waggoner, The Glad Tidings "Courage is being scared to death - and saddling up anyway" - John Wayne "The person who pays an ounce of principle for a pound of popularity gets badly cheated" - Ronald Reagan
Administrators Gail Posted February 4, 2013 Administrators Posted February 4, 2013 Unfortunately, yes. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators debbym Posted February 5, 2013 Administrators Posted February 5, 2013 Strong emotions especially anger do have a direct impact on the thinking processes of the mind. This is why after someone has lost their spouse they are not to make any major decision for a year or two. Emotions really have a powerful impact. Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
Woody Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Ever met some people so full of hate they fail to think straight? I'm not so sure about the hate part - But I fail to see ANYone who thinks straight other than yours truly. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Dr. Shane Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Ever met some people so full of hate they fail to think straight? Bitterness, yes. I have met people that have been hurt and unable to forgive. Their bitterness prevents them from seeing things logically. I have met many people like this. I have also been blessed to see many people come out of that in recovery circles. They are not hopeless. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
