Neil D Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Quote: Now if you were Natalee's parents wouldn't you be wishing the Aruba folks would take lessons from the interogators are Gitmo? Do you mean like this? Quote: Brandon Mayfield, the Portland, Ore., lawyer who was wrongly jailed for 14 days as a "material witness" in the deadly Madrid bombings, is still mad as hell. Mad at the FBI, for insisting his fingerprint had been found on a plastic bag used by the terrorists—even though Mayfield hadn't traveled abroad in a decade and the Spanish authorities doubted the print match. Madder still at the Justice Department, for using the material-witness law to round him up on flimsy evidence and then bolstering the shaky case against him by painting him as a Muslim extremist.(The affidavit that helped secure his arrest made much of the fact that he had converted to Islam, is married to an Egyptian-born woman and had once briefly represented a member of the "Portland Seven" in a child-custody case.) Dr. Shane Posted June 26, 2005 Author Posted June 26, 2005 So I gather you are of the opinion that Joran van der Sloot is the wrong guy. Hmmmmm, that is interesting. Unless all the news reports we have heard are wrong, I cannot see how you came to that conclusion. If I was one of Natalee's parents I think I would want to put a boot on his neck until he started talking. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Neil D Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Quote: So I gather you are of the opinion that Joran van der Sloot is the wrong guy I never said that... What I was refering to was this- Quote: If I was one of Natalee's parents I think I would want to put a boot on his neck until he started talking. I guess I am more concened about due process than interogation techniques..... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
David_McQueen Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I would love to see what would happen if you two met in person...LOL. That would be a great barbecue wouldnt it Quote Firstborn Ministries: Spoken and written word, without apology
Dr. Shane Posted June 27, 2005 Author Posted June 27, 2005 So in the context of my question, you are saying if your child came up missing in a forgien country, you would be more worried about due process than finding your child. I guess, as a parent, I feel differently about my children. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

I simply got a different idea from your post than apparently what you had intended. Since my post is I appologize for any inadvertant misunderstandings that you may have had.
