Under Obamacare, employers are required to offer health insurance options for any employee working 30 hours or more per week. So McDonnell and his team have slipped language into the state’s budget bill requiring that any hourly waged workers employed by the state put in no more than 29 hours a week. The rule applies to a range of state employees, including adjunct college professors: The 29-hour limit is on its way to becoming state law, thanks to language inserted into the state budget at the request of Gov. Bob McDonnell’s administration. The language appears in both versions of the budget adopted Thursday by the Senate and House of Delegates.[...] Anticipating legislative approval of the policy, the state Department of Human Resource Management has advised all state agencies to implement it now. The state has more than 37,000 wage employees. More than 7,000 of them have been working at least 30 hours a week, according to a recent survey taken by the department. Other public universities have made the same shift to lower hours for employees to avoid providing them with basic health benefits. But the anti-labor practice is more prevalent in the private sector, where huge number of businesses in the restaurant industry — including Applebee’s, Olive Garden, and Denny’s — seeking to pass the cost of health care onto their low-wage employees by limiting their hours. The passing of this entire bill was a product of lying to everyone about it. Obama stood up and blatantly lied to us as to almost everything in this bill, as well as the entire Democratic leadership. Obama stood up and blatantly lied to us as to almost everything in this bill, as well as the entire Democratic leadership. Anyone telling the truth about it was shouted down and had their honesty and integrity attacked pretty viciously. Based on her income she purchased a small,modest two bedroom townhouse and has 52,000.00 in student loans. Because she is very frugal she may be able to make it but with nothing to spare. Kind of a kick in the head when you think of all the promises and Obamacare hasn't been fully implemented yet. But politicians have always lied and insurance has always gone up What has happened with Obama, his "stimulus", and Obamacare is far beyond what has happened before in US politics. Obama has terrorists, literally, writing his bills for him. Bill Ayers has been involved in writing all of them, and he was part of the group that bombed the Pentagon in the 70's. He's never renounced his use of violence and still advocates the overthrow of the US government. This is who Obama turns to political advice and there is no outrage about this at all. What kind of dishonesty does it take to ignore this by the press and the rest of our politicians? In my book it takes a dishonesty that goes far, far, beyond anything our politicians have dabbled in before. We are literally putting the future of our nation in the hands of those who advocate its destruction. Our elite-minded political class has stupidly chosen to dismantle the very engine that brought them success, all in the chimera of hoping THEY will be among the chosen to live in the lap of luxury while the rest of us simply accept third-world conditions to live in. What they don't realize is they will be brought down with it all. I really don't think the military will be that thrilled to protect those fabulous enclaves while their families suffer. I DO say - let them experience what we are soon to experience.
