It is only a question of how much clothes to put on to be comfortable. We devour the weather forecast. On our national TV we also see what the weather is like in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Winter is often much colder in North America and northern or eastern Europe Quote

Moderators Gerr Posted February 22, 2013 Author Moderators Posted February 22, 2013 We stayed 4 days in the Big Island. Yeah, Kailua is on the Kona Coast (west side) of the Big Is. It's the dry side. Looks like desert in some areas. Got back home last evening. Left 82 degrees and now I woke up this morning to 35 degrees and snow on the ground. Quote

Mainly using the abundance of electricity we have both from hydroelectric and thermal electric plants for the production of aluminum. Just recently we got the first couple of windmills. There are plans of exporting electricity to the European system through new cables on the ocean floor. Then there are also plans of building new international Internet stations because we have so much electricity and the colder climate requires less cooling than many other places. Tourism is greatly on the increase, also because of the favorable currency exchange. Then growth of vegetables is something I am enjoying, mostly in areas of thermal heating. A new huge tomato plant is supposed to be able to supply England with fresh tomatoes in the near future. Using excess thermo heat from a thermoelectric plant in our vicinity. Quote

Administrators debbym Posted March 9, 2013 Administrators Posted March 9, 2013 I love White Pass, it is so pretty up there, but we have Oregon mountains much closer. the Wallowas, Tollgate , Jubilee lake, Lostine Canyon, the eagle cap wilderness, the Blue Mountains, then Emigrant Springs in the mountains toward La grande. Makes my heart soar to think about the pristine mountain beauty. Not sure which i love more the majestic mountain beauty or the coastal ocean beauty. in hot weather it is definitely time to head for the high country. Quote deb Love awakens love.
