Administrators Gail Posted February 19, 2013 Administrators Posted February 19, 2013 You all are gonna start me on the argument on whether Batman is a superhero or not. It's good, as long as you check Snopes.com first! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
M. T. Cross Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Oh I don't have to! I KNOW Batman is a superhero, no matter what my wife and her friends say. Or anybody else. SUPERHERO. Quote
Ted Oplinger Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Have been on both sides of the cartoon - the slappee and the slapper. Blessings! Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Waggoner, The Glad Tidings "Courage is being scared to death - and saddling up anyway" - John Wayne "The person who pays an ounce of principle for a pound of popularity gets badly cheated" - Ronald Reagan

M. T. Cross Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 You have to anticipate the slap. First step is to realize that what you are about to say will provoke the slap. Now you have two choices. The boring one of just keeping your mouth shut. Or the other of preparing your ducking motion as the last word is starting to leave your mouth. These skills have kept my wife from being a widow for years now. Quote

These skills have kept my wife from being a widow for years now. You have learned wisely! UNFORTUNATELY...I still relapse back into the "Thank you, Dear...may I have another one??" and need remedial 101 lessons at times. The ones that hurt the worst are the ones you never...see...coming....but you should! At least, that's what my sweetie says! Blessings! If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
