skyblue888 Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Reminds me of my own experience. It is always refreshing to hear such testimonies. Very nice. My thoughts are that in due time, if he is a true searcher, and I believe he is, the Lord will lead him to study our history. He needs to understand why the second coming has been so long delayed since 1844 by studying the book Testimonies to Ministers and AN APPEAL by Elder A.T. Jones. Hopefully the Lord will bring him into connection with someone who has studied these things thoroughly. Like all of us he will need to understand what took place shortly after 1844, how unbelief prevented the third angel's message to be proclaimed to all the world; he will need to study what happened in 1888, 1901, and 1903 especially. Unless he does this under the guidance of the Holy Spirit he will not be able to understand where we are in the unrolling of the prophetic scroll. He will need to study the parable of Matt.22 especially in its final fulfillment with October 22, 1844 as its starting point. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf."
