Stan Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Would you want the speaker of the Voice of Prophecy to direct sermons 1 at you or to 2 the unchurched or to 3other people of faith? What would 1 2 3 each one look like to you? cricket Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I think a sermon should be purposed to reach all people everywhere, sharing good news of Christ's sacrifice for each of us.It would look like this: Quote
Moderators Kevin H Posted March 3, 2013 Moderators Posted March 3, 2013 Hey Cricket, you stole what came to my mind when I read Stan's post Quote
Planey Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Cricket you are assuming that these sets are not disjoint. Perhaps the intersection of set 1, set 2 and set 3 is an empty set. Would make for short, very quiet sermons... Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Administrators Gail Posted March 3, 2013 Administrators Posted March 3, 2013 Graeme, you're a nugget, you really are :) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Moderators Bravus Posted March 4, 2013 Moderators Posted March 4, 2013 Awesome question! ( don't really have any answers) Quote Truth is important

Would make for short, very quiet sermons... Graeme Yes, I am. Bravo to you for picking up on that so quickly! As for short, very quiet sermons--never heard of 'em! The point I'm trying to make is that everyone needs to hear the message of Christ for us. We'd be remiss if only certain segments were to hear it. Quote
M. T. Cross Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Would you want the speaker of the Voice of Prophecy to direct sermons 1 at you or to 2 the unchurched or to 3other people of faith? What would 1 2 3 each one look like to you? I think it should stick to directing its sermons at SDA's. Not really sure what unchurched means. I think before preaching to people of other faiths, people should be willing to sit in with them at one of their religious ceremonies. Quote
Stan Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 this has been my experience, others may differ Professing Christians, some constantly need/want/desire topics that they are forgiven, (rather than changing their behaviour) Other Professing Christians, want to straiten others out in their theological errors, so on judgement day, they will answer all 28 questions correct, and perhaps have God change some of the questions. Others that are seeking something, are wanting more to know if there is a God, the purpose of life, what God wants from them in his plan for them and those kinds of things. We live in the day where we need more than one feed.
