Does anyone have dyslexia or know of relatives who have dyslexia, dyspraxia,etc and could they advise of what methods they have used to cope? Research has shown that dyslexia tends to run in families and that these individuals are much more likely to become readers if they are given specific multisensory reading instruction in the early grades. I have been trained in a couple of different methods for helping students with dyslexia. The most effective for my style of teaching is the Lindamood Bell approach. They have a website.
