Should a religious interpretation of a Biblical principle be considered a valid reason?Mr. Obama is a master at twisting a truth into a lie. Where do human "rights" come from in the first place? According to the Declaration of Independence, the founding document upon which the Constitution is said to be the enumeration of, they come from a Creator. Given that neither Mr. Obama nor any other legal expert can demonstrate that the "right" of marriage has ever included both members of the same sex either historically or biblically,one must simply create out of nothing the pretense that humanity is evolving towards a more perfect understanding of the alleged principles found in the U.S.Constitution...just don't attempt to appeal to any Divine revelation. What the President and his Bible Truth loathing supporters really intend to fool people into believing is that the accumulated wisdom of the ages as revealed by the greatest religious and non-religious thinkers of human history has now been eclipsed by the moral superiority of a selective "progressive" think tank. God instituted marriage between a man and a woman at the beginning of human existence. He declared it good and all of humanity has agreed with Him until now. Today, Mr. Obama declares that God's creative wisdom is not good but rather an infringement on the basic human right to create a better and happier society. Pretending that heterosexual marriage is merely an intellectual assent to an otherwise useless religious teaching will have it's consequences for everyone particularly those who still trust that God wants what is best for mankind.

Graeme Perhaps you meant "how?" Nevertheless, it is abundantly evident to many of us who actually live in the US. His inauguration for instance laid out his one-ist agenda. He mentioned Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall. Stonewall was the 1960's birthplace of the modern homosexual movement. He went on to twist the Declaration of Independence into a framework for his ungodly agenda. For our journey is not complete until our wives, our mothers, and daughters can earn a living equal to their efforts (God never intended for wives, mothers and daughters to have to 'earn a living.' I just didn't equate 'non-heterosexual' with just 'homosexual'. I was thinking it referred to all other types of sexual behaviour, including (but not limited to) masturbation, bestiality, masochism and other perversions. I see now I was wrong. My bad.
