Liberals on Twitter Attack Dr. Ben Carson With Racial Slurs After CPAC Speech

After speaking at the CPAC 2013 conference in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, Dr. Ben Carson was targeted with racial slurs by liberals on Twitter, Twitchy reported.

"Ben Carson you're the GOPs Token...Wake up," one person tweeted after calling Carson, an African-American, an "Uncle Tom."

"Ben Carson is gonna ride this 'white conservatives love THIS type of Negro' fetish all the way to the bank," another person added.

"Artur Davis is gonna fight Ben Carson back stage. There can only be one negro that conservatives love. He demands that mantle," the same person tweeted later, referencing the speech Davis, a Democrat, gave at the 2012 Republican convention.

"They gave this Negro, Ben Carson a standing ovation. Smh," said another Twitter user, while another called him the "Negro du jour."

Another person called Carson an "Oreo," comparing him to Herman Cain and former Rep. Allen West.

During his speech, Dr. Carson said that he received a number of "nastygrams" filled with racist epithets from liberals after his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast.

"When did we reach a point where you have to have a certain philosphy because of the color of your skin?" he asked to thunderous applause.

The statement prompted Greg Pinelo, an ad maker for Barack Obama, to demand that Carson produce the messages and "verify" they came from liberals.

"Evidently he doesn’t spend much time on Twitter," Twitchy said.
