Yes, Laz, I do very much agree with that sentiment, if time is to be allowed to go one for a few decades more. All of the political and media establishment would absolutely hate it, and have all sorts stereotypical propaganda to say about it. You probably have quite a few of the pre-digested lines ready to go for this thread, Laz. As the country has had a century of uncompromising drive from the political Left (given, it was a response to the 50 years of conservativism during the Civil War and Reconstruction Era), there should again be a swing of the pendulum again for several decades of uncompromising conservatism from the Right. Of course, should the final movements be here already, then all the pendulum swinging is already done... I would also like to see the Democratic party fumigated. But the Republican party is full of RINOs but they are nothing but liars and, YES, they are progressive and don't have the best interest of the country in their hearts. Quote

The republican party is mainly made up of democrats dressed up as conservatives. Most conservatives have been beating this drum for some time. I don't think so. I think it would make for great political theater. Rand Paul leading a conservative group out of the GOP would be high drama. Ultra right conservatives are not a large enough group to do any fumigating. It's hyperbole on Levins part. The only real option is to leave. How about the Conservative Alliance party? It is the political Left that ascribes to Groupthink, and dispatches their talking points each day, via the government media complex. Projection is the psychological trait of ascribing to others what is one's own character and behavior. It is why the Left portrays the Right engaging in Groupthink - because they themselves do that. Think I'm kidding? So many issues on the Sunday morning shows have the Democrats, to a person, saying the exact same words about the exact same talking point. It explains every caricature the Left superimposes upon conservatives - because the Left itself is the embodiment of such attitudes and behavior. It is why I dismiss the Left's description of conservatism and conservative behavior - they just do not get it accurate at all. Conservatives, though, have demonstrated they know precisely what the Left is. It makes people like you upset, because we see what utter ignorance it takes to hold Left positions. Second...who would FOX news follow should conservatives split from the Republican party? The "moderate" Republicans. FOX news has only 5% fewer liberals on staff than the other news networks, yet they are flamed as gung-ho conservative for simply allowing the conservative side to be aired. Speaks a lot about Left mentality when the Left desires so much a uniformity of information to be dispensed. Conservatives will have to depend on talk radio and the internet sites to publish their viewpoint. Are you suggesting that conservative talk show hosts don't coordinate. I have switched between talk radio hosts and heard the same topics, the same approach and even the same words. At least Savage sees Limbaugh and hannity for what they really are. Group think is alive and well in the conservative movement.
