La Sierra University receives presidential award for service

Nice award for an organization which plays a part in the single highest cause of death for humans, 2700 deaths/day by abortions in the USA alone.

But are we not enjoined to give credit where credit is due? Improving educational and developmental outcomes for children in distressed areas is a noble cause, isn't it?

Shouldn't we support good efforts, especially when a person or an organization with even (alleged) questionable ethics does good? That question has been brought up here before

My wife attended LL, but she did have to do her nursing at LS. Its so sad that there is so much negative things going on that over ride all the positive. Also sad to see many who just want to see the bad and not the good. there's a big difference between condoning and loving the good parts.

Honesty and integrity require us to call it likeit is--which may not be as we see it. From this standpoint, we are required to acknowledge the positive along with the negative.

we were just reminded of an AR article stating that religious freedom is being challenged by both the LEFT and the right.

"Some" view the ripping of LSU out of the control of the Seventh-day Adventist church as an initiative coming from the "LEFT".

The bottom line: The award was not given by a SDA organization--neither the left nor the right. It was given for very specific reasons.
