I wish every would-be criminal had the same fear that 25 year old Timothy Chapek had.

He broke into a home in Portland, Oregon. When the female home owner arrived home, she discovered someone was in her bathroom taking a shower. She called through the door for the person to identify themselves and the intruder told her is name was Timothy Chapek.

Before the homeowner could call 9-1-1, Chapek called and told the dispatcher that he had broken into a home and now feared that the home owner might have a gun. The home owner told him that she was going to call police and Chapek told her he already had and that he was still talking to them at the moment.

Listen to the 9-1-1 calls and what happened and tell me if you could keep a straight face. I couldn’t help but bust out laughing.

Please, police - please protect me from that woman whose house I broke into! Even while I am naked and taking a shower there!

The boy just might not have two brain cells to rub together when it comes to respecting a neighbor's property...

"The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. This reminds me of something a couple of friends of mine did to someone breaking into their vehicle--while they were sleeping in it.

The one friend owned an ElCamino with a canopy on it. The two of them had gone to visit some friends in another town and had their sleeping bags set up in the bed. That night they woke up to someone opening the canopy and crawling in with them. My one buddy owns a .44 mag revolver and had it with him so he pulled it out from under his pillow and shoved it up against the back of the intruder's head.

They took him inside their friends house and started messing him while they had him laid out on the floor face down. They started talking between themselves as to whether they should call the cops or "just take care of him out in the country". They had the guy almost wetting his pants as my two friends were pretty rough looking characters at the time. He was begging them to call the cops.

When they finally called the cops the guy was crying he was so scared. I doubt he broke into very many cars for quite a few months after that. Hopefully he went straight, but criminals aren't known for their brilliant minds, so who knows.

I sure got a good laugh out of it when they told me about it.
