Administrators Gail Posted May 7, 2013 Administrators Posted May 7, 2013 A woman hiker fell off a cliff and before a search helicopter could get to her vultures had eaten her up: Hungry vultures Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
cricket Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 That's horrible! (And though it may be insensitive for me to say this, I can see this story serving as so many different analogies.) Quote
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted May 7, 2013 Administrators Posted May 7, 2013 That is gruesome! Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
Administrators Gail Posted May 7, 2013 Author Administrators Posted May 7, 2013 It's like something apocalyptic, isn't it? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Members phkrause Posted May 7, 2013 Members Posted May 7, 2013 Now I hungry Gail, thanks a lot. just kidding. Man that's nasty. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Moderators Gerr Posted May 8, 2013 Moderators Posted May 8, 2013 Nasty? Was that a typo or did you mean tasty? Quote

LOL it wasn't a typo, but your right I could've said that. :) Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Gordon1 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 but those birds must have been very hungry Many people eat birds and other animals, and some are eventually sickened by this too. Nasty, tasty, hasty, wasty. Quote
OzarkWoman Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 It's like something apocalyptic, isn't it? Not to me. it is just nature. That is what vultures do. They are the clean-up crew of the animal kingdom, of which we are part. Quote
Administrators Gail Posted May 8, 2013 Author Administrators Posted May 8, 2013 True... although the article says that those ones in France have changed to being predators because farmers have been ordered to burn all their carrion. Interesting twist! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Liz Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I hated that she died, but at least she was dead before they ate her. It seems like the government created this problem, first they protect the vultures then they take away their food source, honestly what do they expect the vultures to do? I'm guessing there weren't any animal behavioralists on that panel of geniuses. Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul?
