Guest Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Years ago it was reported that Orion Nebula OPENING is getting larger, is this because when the Holy City comes down through this opening there will be room to spare without bumping into something? ================== http://69.10.163.110/edwhite/orion.htm Quote
Guest Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Don't quote me on numbers, but this opening in this Orion picture is so large that a hundred of our Milky Way systems could be placed in this opening and still have room to spare. Do you realize that when the Father speaks from His throne in heaven saying "IT IS DONE" comes through this opening at the begining of the 7th trumpet/plague that the sun, moon & stars are moved out of their places?? Yes God's voice will raised the dead and bring deliverance to His living saint scheduled to die at the midnight hour. Jesus remains in heaven for another 45 days to then come down to raise the rest of the righteous dead and give imortality. Then begins eternity & our space walk taking 7 days assending, then to be escorted into the Holy City. Quote
Guest Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Yes through this opening http://69.10.163.110/edwhite/orion.htm is where the righeous dead will spent one thousand years walking on streets of gold and telling their redemption story over & over to beings that have never rebelled. But back on planet earth dead bodies is scattered all over the landscape. These dead bodies were destroyed at the brightness of Jesus' appearing because sin was found in them after probationary time had ended. After Jesus utters the words ...IT IS DONE... [marked be a earthquake] "he that is filthy let him remain filthy still...and behold I come quickly and I bring my reward with me to give to ever man according as his WORKS shall be". Now we have heard the expression "Like father like son", well after the Father's Son says those words it will be 30 days before, the Father has something to say [marked by a eartquake where entire mountains will be plucked up by the roots and cast into the sea], This mighty voice comes down right on heaven schedule [Revelation 16:17] all mapped out for us through-out the scriptures. Does heaven provide for us any detail of mans activity during this 30 days when plauges one through six are happening??? Yes entire bible chapters that Adventist are not allow to study because their leadership [in not knowing themselves] have obscured these signpost. Stay tuned as I have clean rags and a supply of cleaning solvent to remove even the most stubborn stains. Wouldn't want anyone to not be able & equipped to march right in this entrance.http://69.10.163.110/edwhite/orion.htm Quote
wicklunds Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 excellent picture!!!! Quote It is a backsliding church that lessens the distance between itself and the Papacy. {ST, February 19, 1894 par. 4}

Ron Lambert Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Ed, the Orion Nebula is inside our Milky Way Galaxy. It would be normal for gas clouds in space to expand, especially with the radiation from the bright stars within the central portion (what some people say is shaped like a funnel). When Ellen G. White said the Holy City will come down through that open space, the context indicates she was talking about the heavy clouds that had been covering the sky parting "like a scroll." She could have meant that was the opening through which the Constellation of Orion could be seen. The Great Nebula does have a central feature that some say is shaped like a funnel, with the narrowing throat twisting back out of our sight like a cornucopeia. The funnel has four bright stars embedded in its sides. Maybe the Lord will come through there; maybe not. The opening in the clouds of earth apparently will be towards the north. I think it is safe to say that the direction of God's throne presently is somewhere northward from earth. The direction north is associated with God in the Bible. The King of the North in Daniel 11:40-45 represents the earthly entity that tries to stand in God's place. Quote
Anthony! Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Ed White: Quote: Stay tuned as I have clean rags and a supply of cleaning solvent to remove even the most stubborn stains. Wouldn't want anyone to not be able & equipped to march right in this entrance. Sorry Ed, but no, you do not have such... only Christ can give us these... Have you not read these? The Holy Bible, King James Version Isaiah 64:6,7 (KJV) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. Proverbs 23:21 (KJV) For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. Isaiah 1:16-20 (KJV) Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Daniel 7:9 (KJV) I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. Matthew 9:16 (KJV) No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Hebrews 1:10-12 (KJV) And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. Matthew 22:1-14 (KJV) 1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen. Ed White: Quote: But I am afraid that those that failed to click & view this picture, then read my comments and open their bible to see if my remarks are correct is due to them being satisified with crumbs falling from the evangelist table. I am sorry that this has been your experience, Ed. When I came to a knowledge of Christ through a Seventh-day Adventist Christian brother, Austin Moore, and a Seventh-day Adventist evangelist, Arnold Scherencel in 1978, I remember both explicitly and repeatedly admonishing me and others not to take their word for it, but to study it for myself/ourselves. This greatly impressed me and Scherencel found it so very important for his attendees to know the Bible for themselves, and to not have another in spiritual/ecclesiastical authority make that decision for them! God bless you, as you continue to make us aware... Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted August 6, 2005 Moderators Posted August 6, 2005 My own best understanding is that God is outside (inside/through/coterminous with but greater than) our own space-time, and that it won't be clouds that will open up like a scroll but the sky (i.e. our space-time continuum) itself. That is to say, take your spacecraft and fly through Orion all you like, and keep flying as long as you like, but you'll never come to heaven. Heaven is not 'far away' but still just a place in space, but is in a different reality, which allows it to be far away and right here with us at the same time. God's presence is throughout the universe. I know this understanding is controversial, and I also recognise that Mrs White describes Jesus returning through Orion... Point is, in the final analysis, that He will return for us. Quote Truth is important
Suzanne Sutton Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 The Milky Way is Larger Than Once Thought For decades, astronomers thought when it came to major galaxies in Earth's cosmic neighborhood, our Milky Way was a weak sister to the larger Andromeda. Not anymore. The Milky Way is considerably larger, bulkier and spinning faster than astronomers once thought. Andromeda's equal. Scientists mapped the Milky way in a more detailed, three-dimensional way and found that it's 15% larger in breadth. More important, it's denser, with 50% more mass, which is like weight. The new findings were presented January 5, 2009, at the American Astronomical Society's convention in southern California.... --The Press-Enterprise, Jan. 6, 2009. Suzanne Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted January 22, 2009 Moderators Posted January 22, 2009 We're actually going to collide with Andromeda at some point in the future - 2 billion years, from memory. Assuming we're back on earth in the New Earth, the changing star field should be pretty cool. Quote Truth is important

The Orion Nebula is very small compared to our Milky Way Galaxy. Orion is just a speck inside. And the image (the picture) found on the link given above is a very, very poor picture of the whole region. Quote Visit and Share the BibleTimelines.com URL ! Taylor Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Lineman if you like astronomy and nature and religious things together check these out: Someone told me about some videos by Louie Giglio. He is not an SDA but he has a couple of DVD's out where he explains God's greatness, the grandure of the universe, and his incredible love for each one of us. It is extremely well done and very moving. It is done for a young audience of teens, young adults, and families, but it is something very worth seeing and if the Youth Ministries director where you are hasn't seen it, you might want to pass on this information to him. The two DVDs that I have are "Indescribable" and "How Great is Our God". (The music that might be associated with them might be too rocked out for some (in the accompaning CD)..but his sermons are incredible.) They show incredible glimpses into God's care for us through Astronomy and even the proteins in our body. Our family and friends of ours have seen it and have been left just about speechless and in tears at the grandure of God and incredible care he has worked into even the "fiber" of our being. You can get them on Amazon at: http://www.amazon.com/How-Great-Our-God-...3&sr=8-1and http://www.amazon.com/Indescribable-DVD-...8063&sr=8-2 Quote
Lineman Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Thanks Taylor, I just ordered both DVDs. I don't believe I have seen them before. (BTW, The two links you gave did not go any place, but went to Amazon and found that they were not available there. Followed a link found on their page and ordered from https://www.christianbook.com/ ) Blessings, Dan Quote Visit and Share the BibleTimelines.com URL ! Taylor Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Thanks for the info..but when I did click on them, they go to Amazon to the specific address where they can be purchased and they are in stock. Not sure what I am doing differently than you..but glad you found a place to order them. Quote
melvin mccarty Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 As Bravus has pointed out Heaven must be another dimension which is somehow close to us but on a different plane. Universe distances are so immense that the speed of light is used as a measuring tool. There was some discussion of this on another thread. If Heaven were a point in our universe way beyond Orion the speed of light would be way too slow for that supposed 7 day journey......mel Quote
Lineman Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 We're actually going to collide with Andromeda at some point in the future - 2 billion years, from memory. Assuming we're back on earth in the New Earth, the changing star field should be pretty cool. This is kind of neat stuff, that two galaxies can "collide" without even touching each other. I have thought about what our sky might look like ("the changing star field") and came up with this "day time" sky illustration. This picture is kind of small, but if you look closely you will see that there are large stars in the sky, pine trees on top of the mountain and palm trees at water level. This is just a composite of three photos put together so that I could understand a little more what Heaven might be like. (I have looked at images of Orion, heard that there maybe "free floating" planets there, and tried to imagine what it would be like to live in a place like that.)
