But from God's POV as conveyed by Scripture His justice and mercy are linked. When God exercises judgment it is to set wrongs right more than to punish wrongdoers. The most compelling reason for my love for the Savior of the world is that as I face the judgment, I know that God is working out every means at His command to insure that my indiscretions (sins) are not greater than His justice and ability to carry me home to His place. Short of turning against Him and His government, knowingly and purposefully, that is an impossibility. God cares! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
