Stan Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 If religion is not practical, it is useless. Quote If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses. https://www.paypal.me/clubadventist Administrator of a few websites like https://adventistdating.com
Administrators Naomi Posted May 25, 2013 Administrators Posted May 25, 2013 Okay ..but what constitutes practical? Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Administrators debbym Posted May 25, 2013 Administrators Posted May 25, 2013 practical, meets real needs, but then we also have needs beyond the mundane, we need the extravagance of love to inspire, and impels us to more then we can imagined. God is so generous, he not only takes care of physical needs, bills, health, and completing good plans, he also showers joy and mercy and abundance, he brings great glory to His wonderful ways. oh i love the Psalms. How great is our God. Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
Stan Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 I should have stated this, this was a paraphrase on a statement by EGW that I read years ago, kinda stuck with me. Woody Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Quote: "Preach in your lives the practical godliness of the faith that you believe. Let it be seen that the truth never degrades the receiver" Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Administrators Gail Posted May 27, 2013 Administrators Posted May 27, 2013 I like the second part of that quote. There is a dignity that comes with belief in God. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Like the one where she stated that there is more religion in a loaf of bread than in some/many sermons? Can't remember if it was some or many, so used both. Gibs Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 The only practical Christian religion is following Jesus Christ only and no man, ever! It is not practical at all to follow men and their structures as they don't have salvation in no way shape or form. Only Christ and His Way has Salvation and so is the only practical one to follow fully and whole heartedly! 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1Jo 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 1Jo 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
