Quote: "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." Mt 7:21 NKJ.

What is the will of the Father in heaven?

It is both a simple and complex answer to that question yongttay.

The will of the Father is that all should have life, and more abundantly in Jesus.

But the walking out of that will... requires knowing the Father through Jesus His Only Begotten Son. And that will is different for each of us. There are common things we do, out of happy obedience to the Father, but how His Will manifests in our lives is a product of our relationship with Him, and how keenly we listen, and how happily we obey.

We are promised that if we truly strive to follow His will, we will hear a voice saying, "this is the path, walk ye in it". I have found this to be true.

So... I've probably made an answer as clear as mud... but it is how I understand the Will of the Father.

[:"red"] "What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish." [/] Matt 18:12-14emph mine LHC

Since this paragraph reveals what is not the will of the Father, it would seem that the opposite would be His will,

that of insuring the safety of the straying ones. Our part in fulfilling those circumstances, as disciples of Christ, would be in carrying the good news to the straying whose lives are in danger of eternal loss.

[:"red"] "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." [/] Matthew 28:19-21

Ellen White writes in Steps to Christ, p. 51:

Jesus says, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24. There is a condition to this promise--that we pray according to the will of God. But it is the will of God to cleanse us from sin, to make us His children, and to enable us to live a holy life. So we may ask for these blessings, and believe that we receive them, and thank God that we have received them. It is our privilege to go to Jesus and be cleansed, and to stand before the law without shame or remorse. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8:1.

[:"blue"]"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God and keep His commandments,

For this is man's all." Eccl 12:13 NKJ.

"He has shown you, O man, what is good;

And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly,

To love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" Mic 6:8 NKJ.

"...A lawyer asked Him a question, testing Him and saying, 'Teacher which is the great commandment in the law?'

And Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment.

"And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

"On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." Mt 22:35-40 NKJ [/]
