Overaged Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 The voice in a GPS is a woman for a reason:1. they're better at directions 2. they're always right. Ha ha...that prejudice! I have the Tom Tom GPS and I am able to choose, I think it's 2 male voices...but most are female... Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." Moderators LynnDel Posted September 26, 2011 Moderators Posted September 26, 2011 My parents use a very British male voice on theirs - easier for my dad to hear. It has been my experience, when getting directions from various people over the years, that I would much rather be told how to get somewhere by a man than by a woman. A woman tends to go by landmarks, "Go a ways and turn left by the gas station that is no longer in business," and a man will say, "Go 2 miles and turn east on 42nd Street." No problem! LD Quote LD
