How do I cancel my paid subscription?

When I signed up I thought it would only take one month of fees out and it's been doing it every month. I need to stop this asap. I was in my account settings and cannot see how to do this.

Cancelling Your Subscription

If you would like to cancel this subscription, log in to your PayPal account and go to the "History" subtab of the "My Account" tab. Choose "Subscriptions" from the pull-down "Show" menu and press the "Submit" button. Choose this subscription, and click on its "Details" link. You will be taken to a Transaction Details page from which you may cancel your subscription. Cancelling your subscription will immediately stop all future scheduled payments for this subscription.

I canceled it, it takes a few steps on this end

It does? When I made my contribution I didn't see the "one time donation" button. It had me as "subscribed" for whatever monthly -or yearly- amount, but the paypal said I could "unsubscribe". So I did as I can't guarantee what my monthly or yearly income will be, and especially in this economy.

So do you have to do something on your end also in that regard even tho it says I am "now unsubscribed"?
