Administrators Naomi Posted December 26, 2011 Administrators Posted December 26, 2011 So what did you have for Christmas diner? Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Members phkrause Posted December 26, 2011 Members Posted December 26, 2011 My Mom made red cabbage, a vege roast, with stuffing, fried mushrooms. My wife made mashed potatoes. And we had grape juice to drink. And of course we had plenty of desserts. Home made cheese cake, pumpkin pie, and lots of homemade cookies. yum yum. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Stan Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 tradition for me. includes brussel sprouts in a cheese sauce... along with a kinds of other veggies and MGM turkey-like slices with dressing. BUT THE greatest thing about the meal... is the people at the table. It was a good day! Administrators Naomi Posted December 26, 2011 Author Administrators Posted December 26, 2011 Our family is not very original … looking for ideas for next year, However in answer to your question dgrimm, we are a "mixed-dietary" family. All the traditional: Potato soup, green salad, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy (two kinds ... veggie & giblet) yam casserole, green bean casserole, corn on-the-cob, freshly baked hot rolls, pumpkin pie, apple pie lemon pie, and banana pudding. Non-alcoholic dark red "bubbly" to drank. Then, after clean-up, a long walk around the lake to compensate for the “stuffing” Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Administrators Naomi Posted December 26, 2011 Author Administrators Posted December 26, 2011 BUT THE greatest thing about the meal... is the people at the table. It was a good day! Yes!!! You are quite correct Stan, the people around the table are greatest part of any Holiday meal. With few exceptions, I always keep that warm, happy feeling for several days after the event. Is that what you call a warm fuzzy? Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Administrators Naomi Posted December 26, 2011 Author Administrators Posted December 26, 2011 I noticed the beginning of a pattern ... isn't it interesting how we view the "traditional" Holiday meal. :: Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
