Administrators Naomi Posted April 17, 2012 Administrators Posted April 17, 2012 What is your style of anger??? Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
M. T. Cross Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Really depends on who I am mad at, what they did, and where I am. Used to be that if it was male I just went for the violence at the drop of a hat. Now I don't. Oddly though - most of the guys I have fought ended up being friends later. Quote
Woody Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 What is your style of anger??? My style lol is to NOT get angry. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dottie Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I "raise my voice." And the angrier I am, the louder I get--but only to those whom I don't fear or don't want to make a bad impression upon... Quote
Liz Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 When I get mad, I'm angry all over, I'm not sure what this looks like, but when it happens I hear people go "oh oh she is mad" and they usually get out of my way. And once I blow up and take care of the problem, then I'm completely fine. It usually takes quite a bit to make me angry though, unless it's stupid people, I have zero tolerance for stupid people. cricket Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Through me, anger manifests itself as sarcastic witticism. And sometimes, song. Quote

whatisthis Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I just read a recipe called Stress Relief Applesauce Bars created by a 16-year old who was banging around in the kitchen to reduce stress from peer-pressure. Looks like a great recipe, and a great way to deal with stress! I think this is on topic, because anger usually is an emotion tied to stress and fear, perhaps a sense of injustice. I'm not saying turn to cake-baking instead of God, We can and should first turn to God and accept the forgiving He gives us for those people, things, or situations that are stressing us--and for ourselves--I need to walk in forgiveness because if I feel automatically shamed by the situations I meet, inadequate, or alone, I won't cope when stress hits me. But there's still a residual emotional register to deal with, usually. When we we walk in forgiveness, we need to remember not to just stuff the emotion generated by stressful encounters, don't you think? It seems to me that stressed emotion can become creativity more often if people understood that it's okay for forgiven stresses still to be stresses-- and to allow those stresses to find creative outlets that bless others. What do you think? Am I on to something? Or am I just full of applesauce bars? Quote more later
whatisthis Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I'm glad I add "more later" as my signiture, because I just got another scoop of thought on this. When I say "walk in forgiveness" I'm coming from the strong belief that the Navajo prayer "May you walk in beauty" is the true Christian walk. Jesus is beauty, He's the Rose of Sharon, altogether lovely. And the walk is about being able to so okay that we are part of His beauty by grace. That's why walking in forgiveness (a two way stream coming into me and out of me) is important. Understanding that the source of Beauty is Jesus, a real person and the real God, both, is integral because the more I see God displayed in humanity and realize how intimately connected to Him I am by His life and death and rising, the more I can be forgiven and forgiving and restore the beauty without endless discussions about who deserves what!
