We don't use the hymnals at all. The last time I was at a certain church, one that does this, their projector malfunctioned. No words on the screen in front. We don't use the hymnals at all. Heh, when I was about 16 or so someone got the bright idea to nominate me to be the song service leader. I picked the most obscure hymns that no-one knew. I figured they were there for a reason so lets use them. The organist hated me for it, cause she could site read the music, but not that well. It was kinda awesome. Quote

I must admit that sometimes I spent the week learning to play the new song, but it was really fun. Most of the people who objected at first actually seemed to enjoy it after a while. Dottie Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 No, the screens are not projected from a projector, but electronically shwon on the screens (or whatever they are called). We rent the church, so the whole sound and picture system is brought into the sanctuary in some very large "trunks" on wheels and all the paraphernalia is set up. After the service, the sound men put it all back together and it is returned to the storage room. Two of the screens are on the wall of the sanctuary, and two are on stands. Quote
