Like a lot (most?) of Aussies I prefer to shower and there's not much point in having a rubber duckie in the shower recess... Liz Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I had empty plastic bottles I played with when I was little, but my kids had all sorts of cool toys, a boat that squirted out water, mermaids that changed colors, colored soap and animals that started out teeny tiny but got huge the longer they stayed in the tub then shrank when they dried out. cricket Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 The whole reason I mentioned rubber duckies in that other thread was because of the toxic chemicals they leak: Bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates. It's not only rubber duckies, but also other things made of certain plastics or rubber (soda cans and bottles, soup cans, shower curtain liners*, et cetera). For more information see: How green is your rubber ducky? If these are toxic substances harmful to the body and are things we should not be ingesting or absorbing and we know about them, then are they not also harmful substances we should avoid in order to "prove" that we are adhering to Adventist standards? __________________________________________ * This problem affects not only those who bathe, it also affects those who shower.
