I didn't say that I liked it..only that it lived up to the title...more like slap stick comedy...something that is ...well, kinda pointless in my view...most of the time... Technically, it was well filmed... ....but funny?....more like "phunnie".... Ok, yeah, I'm a bit of a hard person to please when it comes to story-telling...and yeah, I WILL be your harshest critic....but if you pass MY criteria, then you will be 1]good, 2]relevant,and 3] able to convince others... Right now, in my view...you have potential...but as for anything else....well,....sorry, you are no different than any other aspiring filmographer.... right now, you are probably asking yourself, "Geese, what gives this guy the right to be a critic?"...having been a theater performer, and a director of an acting troop, that alone gives me that right....Also, as one who has seen many 'religious' plays/films/performances, and knows what is out there and been disappointed, concider me as one who is looking for excellence rather than the usual mediocrity that comes across in religious media... Technically, you have potiential...but can you do something with meaningful stories that can actually influence people...THAT is what I am looking for....not fluff... Neil D Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 When I was a director, I was looking for good constructive critism, and I could NEVER find it....EVERYONE was telling me how good the plays were, and how inspired they were and how much they helped them to see some aspect of God....... ....except the ones who disagreed with the play....They told the truth as they saw it...And we weighed their thoughts....if they made sense... ....whereas there were a few who were purring away all the nice compliments were often found to be deceitful and attempted to stop us from producing a play in a church, or wanted to get close to us before we 'became famous' [which never happened, thankfully]. There were also a few who were nice, but were also trying to cash in on our name.... So, yeah, Richard...I'm gonna tell the truth..I will be reliable in my criticism....I thought it technically decent..I also thought it slap stick silly... And I am not interested inn slap-stick.... At least now, Richard, he has something to work with, and a reasonable critic who he has in mind when he produces his next film...IOWs, he will think of me when he produces his film....Whereas for you, Richard..ANY piece of trash film that comes along will satisfy you.... Are you out to entertain? You have achieved that...Are you trying to convey some thought to ponder...? Are your videos out to evangelize? Are you wanting technical assistance in making good videos? then I am not so sure that you want me...as there are others more qualified than me to give you the technical assistance in achieving those goals... and your mockumentary is lamely hilarious....full of innunendo, big/major unsubstanciated claims...not sure if the guy with the spear was bigfoot or not, as MY vision of him is rather more apelike ....but to each his own... I expected to spend the rest of the day laughing to my heart content. I didn't laugh at all! I suggest that you do not advertise it that way. The laughing reaction is based on surprise.
