Guest Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 This may not be serious enough to put in the regular Town Hall, so I put it here. It really did happen: Early this morning, just before I woke up, I dreamed that the company I was working for was going to give a written test. And those who failed would probably be layed off. Well, I was struggling with the math part of it. It was some kind of weird math that I had never seen before. Then right at the end of the dream, Tom was working there too somehow, and seemed to understand the math. So I asked Tom if he would help me with the math. He said he would. Thanks Tom. Then I woke up in a light film of sweat, with my left eye twitching. ) Quote
Administrators Gail Posted May 27, 2013 Administrators Posted May 27, 2013 I'm glad that Tom saved your job for you! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Guest Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I didn't say all that. He never did save my job. For all I know, he was getting ready to give me all the wrong answers, and send me off down a blind alley. Quote

Liz Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 That's funny. At least you had someone to ask though. I can't read in my dreams. Guest Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 That's funny. At least you had someone to ask though. I can't read in my dreams. I wasn't doing a very good job of it, myself. Dreams never have to make sense, and normally I don't dream. Or I don't remember my dreams. I sleep like a dead man usually. Quote
Guest Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I have been stressed out about work though. The work is going away, and I'm afraid the layoffs are coming. Quote

Ted Oplinger Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Tom... I have a dream...... Tell the counselors your dream, and they will interpret it for you.... Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Guest Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Sounds to me like you need to learn some math, RLH! It wasn't your ordinary math. It was some weird stuff that even a calculator couldn't solve. I don't think Tom actually understood it either, but he was still willing to help me with it. Bless his heart. :) Quote
Neil D Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Tom... I have a dream...... I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed. “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve.
