Restin Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 It would be most interested to know if any of you have some memorable instances of being "Kronked," in your stay here on slippery planet Earth. Quote
Moderators Nan Posted July 2, 2011 Moderators Posted July 2, 2011 I found 3 definitions on google...certainly yes to the third, just hanging out doing nothing!! That would not rate as memorable though Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted July 2, 2011 Moderators Posted July 2, 2011 Restin can probably clarify, but I'm guessing the intended meaning was 'vilified'. Not really, although there have been some pretty harsh reviews of one of my books... Quote Truth is important
Restin Posted July 3, 2011 Author Posted July 3, 2011 In the Casey Anthony case, Mr. Kronk, the meter reader, found the little girl's body, tried to report it to authorities four times. What he got for this was chewed out by an officer, then dragged into court to be questioned for hours, and almost accused of the death of the girl. So, the public has now coined the word, "Kronked" to mean "No good deed goes unpunished." I guess many of us have been embarrassed, or worse, just by trying to help with something. Quote
Administrators Gail Posted July 3, 2011 Administrators Posted July 3, 2011 It's kinda like digging yourself into a deeper hole when trying to make things better? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Jonnothin Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 That case is . . . long. Almost over though. Note: First post. Yay Quote
Dottie Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 All that's left is the jury deciding a verdict. In Florida, the jury can recommend the sentence, but the judge doesn't have to abide by their recommendation. Quote
