If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

All highly logical based on the best evidence man can plumb, but lest one become too sure it's all based on truth, remember from which position to which you've sold yourself.

And yet there's still something better of which we can best be assured. OTOH, lest I say anything that might be misconstrued as derailing what you think I should say, I'll let you tell me what I can be sure of without appearing judgmental.

LHC, I just thought it was an interesting bundle of info, and basically means that despite one's best efforts to know everything about a topic (scientific, spiritual, or whatever branch of subject one chooses), there is always more information that is 1) not seen, 2) heretofore unknown, leading to the obvious (yet ignored) truth that one is not as smart as one would like to think.

... because science = fascism (in response to LHC)

Yes, thanks Pam, it's a great reminder that there's always more to any situation than we can see.

When we add it to the Biblical injunction that 'Man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks on the heart', we ought to be *very* cautious in judging others.

Jesus did it, but He had divine discernment... which led him to judge in surprising ways. Who would have thought that it meant excoriating the religious leaders and being gentle with the sexual sinners? But it's what he did.

Truth is important

underlined mine LHC

Oh if only we could all learn that simple truth and acknowledge its' reality at all times. Somehow I'm satisfied that all those whose names are never removed from the Lamb's book of Life, if not possessing it now, will acquire it out of necessity in the search for a happy relationship with their Creator.

That's cool Rudy, I read that a couple weeks ago on the Gwyddon message board in a thread about the nature of deity. Regardless it sure puts things in perspective

I just have one question.

Where, in this statement about physics, does it take into account the ability of an infinite God to teach whoever He desires, whatever He desires, at any given time? Our spiritual "abilities" all come directly from God and have no real relationship to our "physical"/natural innate intelligence, but our willingness to submit ourselves completely to God's guidance and leading.

Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.

Hey Pam,

Very insightful post. I'm not going to try to dig some previously unknown spiritual truth (or heresy) from it or limit its application to just my spiritual life. It's sound advice for anyone in any situation. Scientists forget these facts just as often as religionists do.

The Bible warns us against condemning others to hell, and then condemns sin in the strongest terms. I am grateful for the Bible - even when it steps on my toes at times.

Make it a great day,

Me too. We can be grateful we're not classified as sin. When our toes are stepped on, Jesus offers us steeltoed boots. In my case, that's a big plus.
