Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted July 25, 2013 Members Posted July 25, 2013 Fun quiz to take on science... (I got 82% -- definitely need to brush up on physics!!) Science Quiz !!! Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
LifeHiscost Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I started the test but the second question continued to tell me to select an answer after I already had. Once before in trying an online test like this, the same thing happened. Just as well. Now I don't have to prove myself less than a genius. God cares! And He loves me anyway. Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Administrators Gail Posted July 25, 2013 Administrators Posted July 25, 2013 58% for me... I LIKE science but am not very good at it. Or guessing, it seems. Where's John? Moderators Bravus Posted July 25, 2013 Moderators Posted July 25, 2013 Given my job, we'd *hope* I'd go OK! I just did it on my phone but it didn't record the results correctly and told me that I'd only got one question right... but also gave me 100%. I'll have another go on a computer. Quote Truth is important
Moderators Bravus Posted July 25, 2013 Moderators Posted July 25, 2013 It broke on Question 50, but ended up working again. 94% over all (three questions wrong)... and I maintain one of those was math, not science! Thanks, Pam - I think I'm gonna share this with my students! Quote Truth is important

Liz Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I didn't do very well, and some were evolution-type questions and I never get those right. cricket Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 86% for me. I'm no scientist though--just a homeschooling mom who knows a lot of math and root words! Quote

Igakusei Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Root words go a long way! One of the most useful classes I've taken so far involved memorizing a ton of Latin and Greek roots. Makes learning and remembering a lot of things more easy, and also more interesting. Yesterday I casually used "parasol" in conversation, and then immediately realized that it could be literally translated as "sunblock." "Para-" shares a root with "parry," and "Sol" is the Latin name for our Sun. Stuff like that happens a lot, and it really makes language fascinating. Quote I believe in life before death
