When Yahoo Finance hosted an online Obamacare Q&A recently, more than 2,300 people sent in questions about how to get insurance under the new health reform law. Not surprisingly, a few hecklers were among them to rant against the law and make startling claims about the objectionable practices it will sanction -- most of them totally false.

Demonstrating once again that all the fuss and opposition is fueled by ignorance...

And...

As posted elsewhere, but posted again here to allow for partisan rants to try to deny that it has nothing whatsoever to do do with attaching Obama's name to it -

Sort of like the messaging that the term, "ObamaCare" is getting more unpopular in polling, but if they switch the term to "Affordable Healthcare Act", the uninformed among us think it's not "ObamaCare"?

Unfortunately, the misinformation out there about what it "is" is matched with an even greater amount of misinformation about what it "isn't" - which is the exact opposite of what this liberal article states (Yahoo isn't exactly known for being balanced in its information).

With each passing day, ACA becomes more unpopular, because the low information people who voted for its promises, are finding out that what is in the bill is not what the bill was advertised to be.

Extremely high deductibles ($5,000 for singles). Premiums 3X what people are currently paying, and for less in directly beneficial healthcare.

People are figuring out that ACA's penalizing the private sector for not offering health care to employees @ 3/4 time or greater, is turning this nation away from full-time 40-hr/week career jobs with benefits, to 2 (or more) part-time dead-end jobs without benefits - which eventually forces people out of their current health plans and into government run exchanges. They are finding out people have to work 2 jobs, totalling 50-60 hours/week, to maintain the same standard of living they previously got at 40 hours/week. Direct result of ACA policy.

People - especially the young 18-29 yr old class - are finding out what they are on the hook for. They now see that they are legally on the hook for buying a plan with an expensive premium that most will not use anyway. Over 1/3 are now saying loudly they'd rather pay the perceived unenforceable fine, than be saddled with such burden at a time they are just trying to get financially stable and established.

Oddly enough, logic says this class will be the undoing of ACA in total. Of this class, the law of the land says parents can keep children on parental plans until age 26, cutting out a significant number of contributors.

Significant numbers of this class (aged 18-22) will attend college, and - being on their parent's plan - won't participate in funding ACA.

Of this class, a significant number (aged 22-29) will be carrying significant student loans, and they face a contrary labor market - which will stay this way for the foreseeable future, as ACA makes its impact felt in greater sections of the market. These will opt to either stay in school, or opt not to participate, paying the perceived unenforceable fine instead. ACA will not be funded by taking 1-2.5% of low-end wages.

Just 3 days into release - and the press can boast loudly over 1 bona fide participant, due to insufficient preparation by those charged to roll it out. And many of the exchanges aren't even fully functional yet.

ObamaCare is a house of cards, crashing from day one. The longer it goes on, it will generate a tax revolt, the likes that has not been seen since before the first days of this Republic.

Perhaps on a small state scale (say, like Massachusetts), a state can make it work. However, ObamaCare isn't structured like RomneyCare. They are two very different creations. To boot, it is legitimate debate whether RomneyCare is scalable to a national level.

RomneyCare, though, was actually about being an affordable healthcare option. ObamaCare, however, is proving to be exclusively about power and money.

"As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17

"The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Waggoner, The Glad Tidings

"The person who pays an ounce of principle for a pound of popularity gets badly cheated" - Ronald Reagan

Best way to detect an Obamacare lie is to check and see if Obama's mouth is moving on the subject

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.
