Administrators Gail Posted October 6, 2013 Administrators Posted October 6, 2013 What is your definition of God's glory? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Stewart (SDA) Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 My view is that God has two kinds of glory. 1. A physical glory (or magnificence) : Exodus 40:34-35 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 2. A spiritual glory (or magnificence) : Moses, having already seen the physical glory of the Lord, says to God, "I beseech thee, show me Thy glory. And He said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee... And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth..." (Exodus 33:18 - 34:6) Of the two, His spiritual glory (ultimately, His character,) is the far greater glory. Quote
