bonnie Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 October 8, 2013 The Obama Administration Opens the National Mall - for Pro Illegal Immigration Rally Victor Keith The National Park Service has seen fit to finally see the light and recognize that it was petty and vindictive to close off open air venues such as the National Mall due to the partial government shutdown. They are opening the site to allow certain members of the public onto the grounds in order to promote immigration "reform". In other words, if one supports individuals being granted amnesty for entering the country illegally, you have permission to enter the National Mall. If you fought in the Second World War, and aren't on a National Park Service-approved "Honor Flight," you are barred from seeing the World War II Memorial. The reason giving for allowing the exception for the immigration rally (sponsored by the non partisan SEIU and AFL-CIO) is that it was their First Amendment "right." Apparently, the veterans who fought and bled to defend those rights are not extended the same consideration. The weak rationale offered by the administration as to why these low or no maintenance venues are being closed is that there is no one available to pick up the trash. Apparently the Obama administration thinks that veterans are less hygienic than illegal immigration activists. Nancy Pelosi and Senator Robert Menendez (who were invisible during the lock out of the World War II veterans) will be present to cheer on the celebration of illegal behavior. This is an administration that is so shameless and obvious in its partisan political actions that only the most intellectually dishonest in the country can deny it is because they know they will get a full pass from the mainstream media. Is there anyone working for these people who is even capable of embarrassment? It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
Ted Oplinger Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 As I said on the sham arrest...these illegal immigrants (aka, non-citizens) get a "1st Amendment exception" for opening up the National Mall. Yet that same 1st Amendment contains our freedom of conscience rights. Where were the rights of those desiring to receive Mass from Catholic chaplains in on base chapels? Where is their "1st Amendment exception"? Tsk, tsk, tsk... Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J.
